Like many sectors the insurance industry has had its challenges when it comes to equality. Any industry that has links to the City has some legacy attitudes and processes that can be problematic. However, there is an energy for change today that is being driven by the women who truly believe that they can make a difference, not just to their own careers and those of the women coming up behind them but to the sector itself and the future of the insurance industry. Insurance Business UK’s Elite Women 2021 report is one place where you will be able to find out more about the women trailblazing the insurance industry.
Insurance Business UK’s Elite Women 2021 report
This report has been specifically designed to recognise the insurance industry’s female trailblazers. While insurance is not a sector that is traditionally associated with the female trailblazer there are plenty of them - and when the report is published in 2021 this will be a great opportunity to show just how far this deep vein of talent really goes. The list will group together the top performing female leaders, including all of those who have achieved remarkable success in the past 12 months - something that could be even more impressive in 2021 given the huge challenges that the sector has faced this year thanks to COVID-19.
Recognising talent and influence
The purpose of the Insurance Business UK’s Elite Women report is to recognise women of influence from all across the insurance industry. It will highlight the work that these women have undertaken, as well as the significant contributions that they have made to the sector as a whole over the past 12 months. Each person listed in the report will have an individual profile that reflects the work, determination and inspiration that they have put into their careers - and to the broader industry - in 2020.
How does the list work?
Trailblazing women need to be nominated in order to be considered for inclusion in the Insurance Business UK’s Elite Women report 2021. Nominations closed on the 18th December but could be completed by colleagues or readers of Insurance Business UK.
